EcoWater Systems has an unsurpassed track record that spans over fifty years for correcting water issues associated with high iron levels. A high iron content causes rusty colored water, and it is created when groundwater passes through iron bearing rock formations. Hastings residents are likely to already experience the rust colored staining that appears on sinks, toilets, bathtubs, clothing, and linens due to the high iron content of the water.
Dissolved iron in your water can also contribute to scale, which clogs pipes and compromises the efficiency of water using appliances. The diversity of different types of iron problems means that the “one size fits all” systems generally recommended by many water treatment brands is not likely to offer the correct solution to address your specific water quality problem. Most types of water softening devices only eliminate “ferrous” or Fe2 types of iron. Also, when these iron particles bond with any microorganisms present in your water supply, this type of device will offer virtually no improvement in water quality. Fortunately, EcoWater Systems of Nebraska offers tailored solutions to eliminate any forms of iron from your rural well water supply.
TDS or Total Dissolved Solids is a measurement of all the dissolved particles in water supplies. High TDS drinking water makes it more difficult for the human body to process as your kidneys are forced to filter larger amounts of impurities from the fluid. EcoWater Systems of Nebraska can offer the best water filtration systems and treatment solutions to combat the challenging TDS water problems, native to Hastings, NE. EcoWater Systems has more than five decades of expertise and experience in significantly reducing or totally eliminating high TDS. EcoWater Systems Whole House Solutions guarantee you can enjoy excellent tasting and low TDS drinking water.
The presence of hydrogen sulfide gas in your water supply creates a tell-tale rotten egg smell that is extremely unpalatable. This type of problem is common throughout the rural wells in the Hastings area. The presence of dissolved hydrogen gas in your water creates bad odors and can cause a cloudy appearance. Also, any type of dissolved gas can be very aggressive on plumbing systems, causing excessive wear and tear on many components including the valves, washers, and seats. EcoWater Systems of Nebraska employs myriad proprietary protocols to ensure that any hydrogen sulfide gas is completely eliminated from your water supply.

Hastings, NE, and the surrounding rural areas are prone to nitrate water problems. Nitrate is a naturally occurring type of nitrogen that has water mobility. Nitrogen is a vital nutrient for plant growth, so it is often added to the soil for improving field crop productivity. Unfortunately, dissolved nitrate can be carried into the groundwater as irrigation and rain pass through treated soil. High nitrate levels in drinking water has been shown to inhibit red blood cell capacity to carry oxygen. This is particularly harmful to small children, infants, and vulnerable adults. Nitrate can be safely eliminated from drinking water supplies using specialty filters to ensure that it has a great taste and is safe for your entire family.
Water problems have a massive impact on performance and profits for any business. Hard water mineral deposits can accumulate inside plumbing systems and commercial equipment. These deposits restrict the water flow and reduce heat transfer. High hardness often leads to higher operating costs and reduces your profit as labor costs increase and a need for increased maintenance is created. Additionally, your business will be forced to face the financial burden of replacing fixtures and equipment prematurely, and the ongoing higher energy expenses associated with hard water.
EcoWater Systems of Nebraska has both the experience and expertise to determine the areas of your business that will benefit financially from improving your water quality. Our team of professional commercial water treatment experts is here and ready to assist you to find the solution that is best suited to your specific business needs from within our extensive range of cost effective products, systems, and devices.

Hastings is the county seat of Adams County in Nebraska. The city has a population of approximately 25,000 with an area of approximately 13.6 square miles. While many consider the city’s claim to fame to be the location where Kool-Aid was invented, it actually has a long and interesting history.
Hastings was founded where the St Joseph and Denver City Railroad and Burlington and Missouri River Railroad intersect. The city was established in 1872 and was named for Colonel D.T. Hastings, who was instrumental in the building of the railroad network throughout Adams County. Before Hastings was established, the area was open plain, and it is documented in Tansen Donner’s journal as the Donner Party passed on its way to California.
With the lure of the railroads, the first settlers to Hastings in the new state of Nebraska were from Liverpool, England, but immigrants from Germany, Russia, Ireland and Denmark followed. By 1880, the Hastings population had expanded to 2,800, and the town was considered a boomtown. Unfortunately, a fire in 1879 destroyed many downtown buildings, so the city needed to be rebuilt between 1880 and 1890. This meant that fireproof materials were used and the downtown area was rebuilt in a more planned design.
Today, Hastings is a vibrant city with the Chautauqua Pavilion hosting the Hastings Symphony Orchestra and the Hastings Community Theater regularly performing. Many historic buildings have been adapted for modern use including the Central Community College and the Clarke Hotel.
