Reducing TDS from the Water in York, NE

The term TDS or Total Dissolved Solids is used as a measurement for all of the dissolved particles in water supplies. A high TDS in your drinking water supply makes it increasingly difficult for your body to process the fluid. Your kidneys will be forced to filter out greater amounts of particles and impurities. EcoWater Systems of Nebraska can provide you with the best water filtration systems and treatment solutions to combat even the most challenging TDS water challenges native to York, NE. EcoWater Systems has over fifty years experience of significantly reducing or even completely eliminating high TDS. Eliminating Iron and Rusty Water from York NE’s well water.

EcoWater Systems has an equally unrivaled track record relating to the treatment water issues associated with a high iron content. Rusty colored water contains a high level of iron, which occurs when groundwater passes through iron bearing formations of rock.  Residents of York are likely to have experienced the rusty stains that appear on linens, clothing, sinks, toilets, and bathtubs due to the high iron content of the local water.

When iron is dissolved in water, it can also contribute to the formation of scale. Scale can accumulate to clog pipes and compromise the efficiency of water using appliances. Unfortunately, there is not just one type of iron problem. This variation means that the “one size fits all” approach is not likely to offer the right treatment for your specific iron water issue. Many water-softening devices, in fact, only eliminate “ferrous” or Fe2 types of iron. But if the iron bonds with microorganisms that may be present in the water, there will be almost no improvement in water quality when using this kind of device. EcoWater Systems of Nebraska can provide you a customized solution to eliminate iron from your rural well water supply.

Eliminating Hydrogen Sulfide Water Issues Native to York, NE

If there is a rotten egg odor in your water, it is usually due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide gas. This issue is common in the rural wells in of the York region. Dissolved hydrogen gas in water supplies, causes a cloudy appearance and unpleasant odors. Additionally, the presence of any dissolved gasses is aggressive on plumbing systems, causing excessive component wear and tear including the washers, valves, and seats. EcoWater Systems of Nebraska employs several proprietary protocols in order to ensure that hydrogen sulfide gas problems are eliminated from your water supply.

Reducing Nitrate Levels From the Well Water in York, NE

York, NE, and its surrounding rural environs are especially prone to nitrate water problems. Although nitrogen is a vital nutrient for plant growth, and is often added to soil to improve field crop productivity, when irrigation and rain pass through treated soil, it allows the dissolved nitrate to travel into the groundwater supplies. High nitrate levels in drinking water has been shown to inhibit the oxygen carrying capacity of red blood cells. This can be especially harmful to small children and older adults with underlying health issues. Specialty filters can eliminate nitrates from drinking water making it safe for the whole family.

York is the York County seat. York County was founded in 1870, just three years after Nebraska was admitted to the Union as the 37th state. The name York came from the town in Yorkshire in England. When it was chosen as the county seat, a courthouse and post office had to be established and between 1875 and 1877 the town enjoyed rapid growth.  When York climbed over 800 residents, it was formally organized into a city.

In 1877, the Burlington & Missouri River Railroad tracks reached York, and the first trains gave the area a further boost. Over the years, three railroads serviced York, but the Burlington Northern has been serving the city, hauling grain, coal and other freight since 1942.

To this day, York is primarily an agricultural area with the principal crops being soybeans and corn. There are also manufacturers and mills in the area. The city population has grown to 7,766 according to the 2010 census and is now home to the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women and York College.
